The samples on these pages consist of animation and illustrations for CD, computer game, interactive program, and screen presentation purposes.

At the top of the first multimedia page are samples of Argent Media's presentation for Data Translation, Inc. presenting their "Broadway" Video Capture and MPEG compression board. I created the character, "Marcel Marsupial," for Bob Silverman at Argent Media. Using this mime-like cartoon character Bob was able to follow the missing Marcel's footprints through the Museum of Presentations to show presentations through history starring Marcel Marsupial. This eventually led to the present where Data Translations could introduce their video capture board.

Following are screen shots of "Rider's of Rohan" computer game for the PC. This game, based on "Lord of the Rings," was released back in '91 and distributed by Konami.

The next page starts with a shot of an "overcrowded for effectiveness" slide for J3 Learning's computer and video based training of PC software.

Beacon Learning in Cambridge, MA is responsible for many multimedia presentations. The sample for Chubb LifeAmerica is typical of their instructional computer programs. I was part of a team that contributed screen art for a Walden Pond kiosk that is now located at Walden Pond in Concord, MA. The kiosk was produced by The Rendon Group, Inc. of Boston and Beacon Learning of Cambridge in connection with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Management and is designed to inform visitors about Henry David Thoreau, Walden Pond and its surroundings, and also campsites and parks in Massachusetts. The kiosk won the Massachusetts Interactive Media Council Award in 1997 for Best Non-Profit Public Service Title.

A screen shot from a training program produced by Beacon Learning for Mathworks in Cambridge. Although I created characters for this presentation, it was Beacon Learning's talented staff that created the backgrounds for the program.

The last page of the multimedia section contains a QuickTime VR for Argent Media. The idea being that each column when clicked on would take you to another area. Clicking on the boulder would take you to an area about Argent Media. Only the QTVR is active here. You'll need the QuickTime plug-in from Apple Computer for your Mac or PC to view this.
